JWCFF What Is Our LIFT Program?

The LIFT program is more than just a fitness and nutrition program for the community. LIFT stands for Lifting spirits, Improving bodies, Feeding souls, and Transforming lives.

We approach lifting spirits by helping others find positive energy within themselves and by practicing self-love on a daily basis. Improved mental strength and positive outlooks on life has helped shape the athletes into becoming happier and more goal-oriented.

Improved bodies brings the athlete a great deal of self-confidence through implementing strength training and cardiovascular training with our highly-skilled trainers on a consistent basis. Throughout the program we measure and track body composition as well as athletic achievements such as steps taken, flexibility, strength gains, fat loss and much more.

Feeding souls incorporates ways to adjust your lifestyle into enjoying healthy and nutritious eating. We believe each time you eat you have the opportunity to nourish your body and that in turn, a healthy lifestyle will satisfy the soul and maintain a healthy mindset. With the help of Registered Dietitians and Dietetic Technicians, Registered, we educate and support each athlete in their journey to improved eating. We don’t always just talk about healthy eating… we conduct a healthy cooking demo which always leads to recipe sharing at the end! We love collaborating and highly encourage new ideas, whether it be food related or not.

Lastly, transforming lives is what drives our passion to conduct the entire program. We focus on magnifying every positive attribute of the athlete and assist in improving all aspects of their life. Whether it be physique goals, sleep quality, improved nutrition or exercise consistency, we’re here to guide our athletes in finding the inner strength to help them through life’s ups and downs.

The LIFT program is broken up into three months…

the first focusing on fitness, the second on nutrition. The third month encompasses fitness, nutrition and further motivation. We aim for perfect attendance throughout the three month program. In order to thoroughly motivate each individual, we hold monthly reward ceremonies as an incentive and encourage athletes through celebrating themselves on a regular basis. Throughout the second and third month our staff educates and discusses ways our athletes can put all their new-found knowledge to action at the grocery store and through cooking by discussing food logs. Our goal as a JWCFF staff member is to give our graduates the confidence, motivation, support, and preparation they need to make the positive life choices they deserve, like getting a job and developing a happier more fulfilling life. Every session with the LIFT program counts and we want everyone to enjoy themselves and celebrate themselves when they attend. If you’re not having a good day, let us make it better! Improving your health doesn’t need to be punishment, it’s therapy for the body and soul.
