We’re on a mission to end homelessness with the help of a supportive and engaged team encompassing our board of directors, staff, and amazing volunteers.

OUR FOUNDATION

At LIFT Fitness Foundation, we do more than teach fitness and nutrition. We empower Hampton Roads’ most vulnerable communities by providing the tools they need for sustainable change.

Our programs deliver fitness training by certified personal trainers, nutritional guidance by registered dietitians, and mental wellness support from experts. These elements combine to help individuals not just survive, but thrive.

We focus on empowering homeless individuals, recovering addicts, survivors of domestic abuse, single parents, and at-risk youth. Our goal is clear: equip each person with the strength, confidence, and skills needed for a stable and healthy future.

GROWING OUR LIFT PROGRAMS

At LIFT Fitness Foundation, our journey over the past few years has been marked by significant growth and impactful partnerships. In 2022, we ran five programs, expanding to seven programs in 2023 with multiple partners. In 2024, we focused our efforts on two key partners, delivering 10 successful programs with ForKids in Chesapeake and The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center in Virginia Beach.

Starting in 2025, we plan to further expand our reach and impact. We will be running 15 programs, continuing our successful partnerships with ForKids and The Salvation Army, and introducing new partnerships to serve even more communities in need.

We are proud to announce a new partnership with HER Shelter, an organization dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic abuse. Their mission is to provide leadership, advocacy, and resources to survivors and communities affected by domestic violence, sexual violence, stalking, and human trafficking.

In addition to this new partnership, we are expanding our programs to include The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center in Norfolk. This expansion allows us to serve a more diverse population throughout Hampton Roads, bringing our holistic wellness programs to even more individuals in need.

To achieve our vision for 2025 and beyond, we need the continued support of our community. This includes our funding partners, community partners, and the broader community at large. Every dollar raised through our events supports these vital programs. We also need dedicated volunteers with a heart for this community, certified trainers to lead our fitness sessions, registered dietitians to provide nutritional guidance, and head coaches to help steer our programs.

Together, we can create a lasting impact and transform lives through our comprehensive wellness programs. Thank you for being part of our journey and supporting our mission.
